There will be no movie or game news today as we here at PAUSED! Reviews are taking a much needed day to be with family and be thankful for all the many blessings of the past year. However, that being said we would like to take the opportunity to wish all of our fans out there in PAUSED! Nation a very happy Thanksgiving.
The opportunity to do what we love is something we are all thankful for, and it is you, the fans, that make it all possible. So thank you all for your love and support! Enjoy this day with family and friends and we will be back tomorrow with another great post!

So I decided to brave the vampire waters once more and check out a movie that released on DVD/Bluray just a few weeks ago called Byzantium. Starring Gemma Arterton and Saoirse (pronounced sir-sha) Ronan it looked to be a more adult take on the myth, more in line with Anne Rice's telling which instantly appealed to me. In an age of Twilight, Vampire Acadamy, and Vampire Diaries it was exciting to think that someone may depict vampires as the sexy yet insanely deadly characters they were meant to be.
While the film does entertain a bit of a "love story", it focuses so much more on the struggle of a being, once human, coping with the strain of immortality and the moral dilema of having to take lives to survive. The love story itself is not overwhelming at all, but instead brings compassion to an otherwise "evil" character and makes the unreal and unbelievable world of the undead surprisingly relatable.
Well folks, this is not an overly impressive week for new releases. However there are a few that some folks out in PAUSED! Nation may find notable. One thing to keep in mind is that this week not only does the final season of Breaking Bad hit shelves, but so does the complete series collection on both DVD and Bluray. So if you've been holding out on buying each season awaiting the arrival of the complete box set, well today is your lucky day my friend.
Aside from those movies and shows depicted in the slide show, only one other title hits shelves today, and that is Ghost Hunters International: The Final Season. I think this show is a huge joke and it made me think of this image I found a while back.
Anyways, be sure to let us know which new releases you'll be watching or buying this week. Or if you've seen any of these and think they are worth watching, I'm always looking for good recommendations! You can reach us by commenting below, or...

So now with the release of Microsoft’s Xbox One this past weekend, The next-gen consoles are finally out.
We covered the box opening for the PS4, It’s now time to take a look at the Xbox One.
I just wanted to give you all my initial impressions of a fan recommendation. Recently, one of our PAUSED Nation faithful recommended that we give the show Arrow a look and give our thoughts. So far I must say, I'm more than a little impressed.
The show is a re-imagining of one of DC Comics' classic characters, the Green Arrow. Portrayed by Stephen Amell, the show takes the little known and often background character of Oliver Queen and thrusts him into the spotlight. I for one couldn't be happier. Odds are unless you are a big DC fan, you may not have ever heard of the Green Arrow before, and the truth is he's kind of a generic Batman/Bruce Wayne. However, he is a badass, billionaire vigilante and Lord knows we can never have enough of those.
So let me start off by establishing my Hunger Games cred; I am a big fan. I can’t claim to have slept on any sidewalks waiting for the book or movie premier, but I have read the books 3 times and we own the first movie. I must admit that I was pretty skeptical when Franc tried to convince me that this young adult book was going to be the best thing I ever read, but once I dove in, I was hooked.
Now I must admit, the first movie was less than stellar, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from the second installment. But whereas the first movie was the equivalent of a pimply awkward teenager, Catching Fire is all grown up. This movie is awesome. It is a potent, polished, and powerful brew of young love, bold defiance, and violent uprising.
Well, at the very least this film is aptly titled. God may forgive the makers of this movie, but I never will. Just when I was really starting to get behind Ryan Gosling as a legit actor, he pushes the bounds of my trust too far with this unpolished turd of a movie.
Only God Forgives is not only the unopposed contender for worst film in all movie history, but it is actually also in the running for most boring thing to watch on planet earth. In this contest the film is pitted against such classics as "Grass Grows", "Water Boils", "Water Freezes" and my favorite "Rock on Street II: The Rock Never Moves". While I was really pulling for the sequel of "Rock on Street" I know a winner when I see one, and Only God Forgives has got this one in the bag.
Well folks, I am happy to announce that this week's episode is up and ready for your patiently waiting ears.
This week the boys felt it was appropriate, with it being the heart of the football season and all, to discuss none other than football movies. They discuss what it is about football movies that make them so great, and break down a few of their absolute favorites.
So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show.
As always you can find it in our Podcast Archive, or of course in the iTunes Store where you can subscribe to and rate our glorious podcast. Remember, if you subscribe, the episodes will download magically and automatically into your iTunes library. No waiting, no fussing.

Well folks, it's that time of the week again. New Release Tuesday! Lots of summer movies release today. Honestly of all of them I only saw We're the Millers and that one was pretty hilarious. So this may be a perfect week for an installment of "Buy, Watch, Wait".
I'll take a look at a couple in the next day or two and get some reviews out there for you. In the meantime, take a quick look at a few other random titles releasing today.
Well folks, before we dive in to Joe's review of the Playstation 4 he had asked me to provide a bit of a disclaimer on the pictures. These were all taken on scene while he tried out the new console, but was forced to take them with his phone. He was worried about quality, but I think it's awesome to see real pictures of the first next-gen console to hit selves, live and in person.
So with that, be warned, the pics aren't of the best quality, and the screen shots were taken of a projection set up. So forgive us the quality, but enjoy meeting the new Playstation 4.
