Well folks, now that Halloween is upon us, this will be our final Urban Legend Thursday for the year. We have brought you classic, chilling tales each week this month, and we've saved two of the best for last.
That's right, this week, you get not one, but two frightening tales to share in front of the fire this Halloween night. Just make sure you aren't alone when you read them....muuaahhhhahahahaha.
A "Bloody" Classic
Some girls Kat didn't know invited her over for a sleepover. That night they played Truth or Dare. When it was Kat's turn she picked dare. One of the girls said, "I dare you to do Bloody Mary." Kat accepted. They gave Kat a lit candle and pushed her into the bathroom. Kat spun around three times and said, "Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary."
When nothing happened, she walked to the door. Before she could reach it, her only light blew out. She banged on the door, begging the girls to open it, but they just laughed. She backed up against the door. The sink and the bath started to run. It poured out thick blood. It soon was overflowing onto the floor. Kat screamed a blood-curdling scream as Bloody Mary rose from the water then crawled out. When she reached Kat she slit her throat and dragged her back to the bath. The next morning, the girls checked on her. When they saw her, their screams could be heard for miles.
A Terrible Way to Wake Up
Janice's great-great grandmother, ill for quite some time, finally passed away after lying in a coma for several days. Her great-great grandfather, John, was devastated beyond belief, as she was his one true love and they had been married over 50 years. They were married so long it seemed as if they knew each other's innermost thoughts.
After the doctor pronounced her dead, John insisted that she was not. They had to literally pry him away from his wife's body so they could ready her for burial.
Now, back in those days they had backyard burial plots and did not drain the body of its fluids. They simply prepared a proper coffin and committed the body (in its coffin) to its permanent resting place. Throughout this process, John protested so fiercely that he had to be sedated and put to bed. His wife was buried and that was that.
That night he woke to a horrific vision of his wife hysterically trying to scratch her way out of the coffin. He phoned the doctor immediately and begged to have his wife's body exhumed. The doctor refused, but John had this nightmare every night for a week, each time frantically begging to have his wife removed from the grave.
Finally the doctor gave in and, together with local authorities, exhumed the body. The coffin was pried open and to everyone's horror and amazement, my great-great grandmother's nails were bent back and there were obvious scratches on the inside of the coffin.

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Forza Motorsport 5, Dead Rising 3, Batman Arkham Origins. Much like movies this summer, the next-gen titles have been dominated by new installments of existing franchises. We all have a huge decision to make in just a few weeks, Which next-gen console to buy. For me the decision will be made in the game offerings, and I think there is one game that may be falling under the radar.
When it comes to the titles releasing exclusively on the next-gen consoles, one keeps raising my eyebrow a little higher than the others, and just might be that decision-making, game-changing title that puts PS4 over the edge. That game is Ready At Dawn's latest project, The Order: 1886.
Well folks, this appears to be a slow week for new releases, so we can keep this short and sweet. I'll be checking out of few of the new release titles and will let you know if I think any are worth watching, but as of now it doesn't look promising.
Whenever I watch a movie, I go into it hoping for that heartwarming, giggle-inducing, feel-good feeling. I am not ashamed of my shallow film expectations. Critical acclaim and Oscar nominations mean nothing to me, if I don’t leave the theater with a smile. And to be honest, it has been a long time since a movie has done that for me; that is, until I watched The Intouchables.
This Is Why We Do It
I feel like it has been so long since we've had one, let alone two, great films to share with you in BWW. As so often is the case, we have to sit through a lot of rainy days so we can truly appreciate the sunny ones. Today folks is a sunny day.
So here they are, your films for this next installment of Buy, Watch, Wait.
Katie was only 18, but she had been dreaming of the day when she would marry the love of her life, Daniel, since the day they met when they were 6 years old. Although she was young, her family knew the love Katie and Daniel had for one another and gave their whole-hearted consent to their marriage without a second thought. As Katie thought about the wedding plans, there was one part that she didn't have to think long about, the venue. So, she decided she wanted to hold the wedding in the backyard of the large farmhouse where she grew up. It held so many memories for the two of them, and as she expected if proved to be the perfect setting and the wedding went off without a hitch.

Ladies and gents, here are the new releases for this week. Some interesting titles, most of which from the indie scene, which usually prove to be pretty decent. We will definitely try to take a look at a few of these titles for another installment of Buy, Watch, Wait.

I was promoted to squad leader later that afternoon, with the passing of Sergeant Cook while out on our routine morning patrol around the Shanghi district. The Sergeant was a good man; a veteran of past battle’s. He would tell us stories about Battlefield 1942, and the guys he had met during his two tours from Battlefield Bad Company. The last tour, Battlefield 3, he thought he could’ve retired from. We almost lost him that time.
The Beta for Battlefield 4 has been out for a while now for the Xbox 360, PC and the PS3. For those who have played it and complained about the graphics or the small glitches that sometimes occur. Let me remind you. It’s a Beta. Meaning the creators of the game were kind enough to allow us to sample a small portion of what there is to come on October 29, 2013.
So of course there are going to glitches and the graphics may not be the best for now. But on the release date the nay-sayers will be put in their place.
